Eye on International Organisations > IOM International Dialogue on Migration > IOM International Dialogue on Migration IOM International Dialogue on Migration At the invitation of Mr Brunson McKinley, Director-General of the International Organization for Migration IOM, President Ghassan Aïdi will be participating in a workshop in Geneva themed "Making Global Labour Mobility a Catalyst for Development" on 8 & 9 October. Dr Aïdi will be addressing such questions as how can the involvement of non-governmental actors be facilitated in the different aspects of labour migration and management and in the needed human resource development? What are the key challenges and opportunities related to the development of public-private partnerships in this context? The workshop is organized within the framework of IOM's International Diaologue on Migration. This was launched in 2001 to provide an informal forum to IOM Member States and Observers as well as international and non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders for the exchange of views and experiences on migration matters.
